REALTORS® Bring People Home!
Would you go into a
courtroom without an attorney? Would you medicate yourself without the guidance
of a physician? Would you try to build a house all by yourself? Probably not.
Buying or selling a house can be just as difficult without the help of a
REALTOR®.
Lately, the term REALTOR® has come to mean less than it was originally
intended. A number of today's REALTORS® are considered by many people as
overpaid, under-working prima donnas who want you to feel lucky that they have
taken the time to speak to you.
To
become a REALTOR® in Nevada you must belong to both the National Association of
Realtors® (NAR) and the Greater Las Vegas Assocation of Realtor®. The NAR and GLVAR characterizes its members
as professionals who must adhere to a strict level of competency, fairness and
high integrity resulting from adherence to stringent moral and ethical conduct
in business relations. By working with a REALTOR®, you are ensuring that your
transaction will be handled professionally, and that your rights in real estate
activities are protected by the REALTORS® Code of Ethics.
REALTORS® are more than just sales people or agents. We're real estate
professionals who are members of the National Association of REALTORS®, the
Nevada Association of REALTORS® and the Greater Las Vegas Association of
REALTORS®. As such we are bound by a code of ethics that we must swear to upon assoication. I have an Overview of the Code Of Ethics located here. It's our job to represent you and your needs in every step
of the transaction.
Do most Realtors®
follow these guidelines? Lately enough Realtors® haven't. Enough have not to
cause our reputation to be damaged. To listen to some people, we have
earned the same respect as used car salespeople and lawyers. I hold myself to
an even higher standard than the National Association of Realtors® and The
Greater Association of Realtors® have set. I pride myself in this fact.
What does working with me, a REALTOR®, mean to you?
If you're a Buyer, that means finding the right house, negotiating a price that
fits your financial portfolio, advising you on financing and helping you work
out the details that will make your purchase go smoothly.
